Travel Information

There are daily flights weekly aboard Air Tanzania, flying from Johannesburg to Zanzibar's main airport. South African Airways also offers two flights a week from Johannesburg direct to Zanzibar. Most European airlines fly into Dar Es Salaam. After landing on the mainland, getting to Zanzibar is simple. There are two ferries, which travel across the channel to Zanzibar's capital city of Stone Town. You can catch the ferries or alternatively charter a small plane from one of the local flight charter services at the airport.
